How could working in a chip shop affect my health?

December 282009

I work in a chip shop and so obviously go home covered in grease. Is there any way this could affect my weight or skin? Also, can calories be consumed through breathing it in? I don’t eat any fast food so i’d be gutted to find out all this is getting into my body.

Hahaha look the acai berry promoters are spamming every question with false testimonial ads by answering questions that aren’t even related to losing weight.

No you do not gain weight if the grease goes all over your body. You have to swallow or ingest or inhale it so that you digest it then absorb it into your blood before it is stored as fat. Oil vapours can be inhaled but I’m not sure if that will make you fat… I do know or rather think that inhalation of high temperature oil vapours might be carcinogenic… they are radical, harmful substances that at those temperatures become volatile and dangerous, capable of damaging the DNA of cells lining our throats and nasal passages.

The only thing that can be affected is your hair and skin. The fatty fumes and grease could make your skin greasy and spotty so wash your hair and skin well !!!
