I am going to be in Seattle in February and would like to do some outdoor activities?

March 122010

I am not skilled enough to do the hard mountain climbs, but am up for camping, hiking, whitewater rafting, and lots more! I’d also like a guided service rather than planning my own. Any suggestions? I have about 3-4 days to spend.

Dicovery Park is a short bus ride from Downtown and has nice beaches and trails. if ya can go to a Town called Gold Bar WA,

Wallace falls is there and got a 7.5 mile trail to the top and some great hiking in a rainforest around. big trees and lots of giant ferns and one of a kind moses. starts out a little lame but gets ruff towards the end, bring water and food

There are lots of great places around Seattle for what you want..but remember seattle is in a rain forest…February will be WET. There’s a really great outdoor retail activity store in seattle called REI…they should still be there..I’m in vancouver.bc…but I bet they could help with more information.

February is the Rainy Season – stay indoors. If you are in Seattle in the latter part of February – go see Julius Caesar at the Seattle Opera.

As a former Seattlite, the quality of life there is fantastic! There are so many things to do it’s just unimaginable. You could take in Mt. Ranier, Ferries everywhere, Seattle Central, the Piers, A terrific zoo, Northwest Trek, and so much more!
The weather in February towards the end of the month the beginning of spring with all the cherry blossoms and just so beautiful!
Hotels are cheaper outside of the city and away from the airport. Restaurants galore and really a very easy city to navigate! The shopping is fantastic with malls in Tukwila, Federal Way, and Bellvue being some of the best. And of course, the city mall and shops! The monorail will take you right from seattle city mall to the seattle central area!

The best outdoor activities for that time is skiing or snowboarding.
The Summit at Snoqualmie is juat about an hour east, and Crystal Mountain about two hours south.
If you wanna do hiking and camping: Seattle is awesome for that, but not in February…
