what happens if you sign a false statement to the health dept.?

someone i know signed that he apprenticed someone in tattoos and he did not. now the man is a liscened artist and was not trained by him.

Signing a false statement is called perjury. If a lawsuit comes in the future, the person who signed the false statement could face monetary and jail time penalties.
