I’m looking for an outdoor wedding ceremony and reception service. I would like a beautiful garden or beach venue. I know most beaches are public, so I’m leaning more towards a garden near St. Clair or Macomb counties. I live out of state so it’s harder to find good sites. If you know of any gardens, please let me know.

HI i have an essay due in soon and I have to find out everything about outdoor pursuits. Advantages and disadvantages, skills learnt and why it is important and how the skills learnt can help employers of the Uniformed Public Services(eg.police, firefighters etc.)

hi, i used to do a lot outdoor pursuits when i was in the army, they see it as devloping the ability to to work in an outdoor environment, it develops leadership and teamwork, its highly challenging and very rewarding as you try that little bit harder to push yourself. it helps develop self-descipline, strength, and is very rewarding.

you learn a lot of skills like preperation, risk assesment and self motivation.

employers such as the army value outdoor pursuits as they see at as you have developed a sense of adventure, that you are willing to try something new and sometimes a little but scarey, but most of all it comes down to teamwork and leadership skills which are very important to the army as they are many other employers.

Amsterdam – A group of Dutch nudists called off a special church service to be held in a nudist park after receiving threats, a spokesman for the group said Friday. In June, the Christian Gan Eden nudists held their first church service at the Flevo-Natuur nudist park in Zeewolde in the eastern Netherlands and planned to hold a second service.

However, the group was hit by numerous emails and phone calls, many of them threatening, the Gan Eden spokesman said. The church service was called off and the group shut its website down.

"I do not understand the fuss," the spokesman said. "We are just a group of Christians who want to have our own church service."

This is the 2nd question you have posted dealing with a certain group of Christians. I disagree with their views.
Guess what? In this world, there are individuals within groups. We are not all the same.
It appears that you are doing searches to find Christian extremists to use as examples of what SOME Christians do in order to attack us all. JMO, and I apologize if I am wrong, but that appears to be your MO.

If you work outside do you use sun protection?

If work keeps you outdoors for long periods of time your skin could be exposed to more sun than is healthy for you. Outdoor workers that could be at risk include farm or construction workers, market gardeners, outdoor activity workers and some public service workers. Outdoor workers are regularly exposed to the sun. In fact, on average they receive 3 to 4 times more UV exposure each year than people who work indoors. This means they are at greater risk of skin cancer unless they take steps to protect themselves.
Use t/shirts and hats that offer maximun sun protection UVP 50+

N.B. There is no such thing as a safe or healthy tan.

A normal cotton T/Shirt offers a protection factor of around UPF7 and UPF4 when wet.

I do try to remember to put on the old slap in the summer months. I always do on holiday or when going out on my bike. But I don’t always remember to do it if I’m just in the garden. Oops

Outdoor wedding in michigan?

I am looking for an outdoor wedding and reception service in Michigan. I would like it either in a garden or on a beach, and i am having a lot of trouble finding one that is not to expensive. I am from the detroit area but my family is from flint so i don’t want anything to far. Please help! Any advice would be very appreciated!

First of all, congrats!

Second of all, the Michigan beaches aren’t really a good idea because they’re public, so anyone can show up (unless you can find one that’s not, but I don’t know of any). Garden weddings are beautiful and I think easier to negotiate for those in heels. There’s Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, but it’s not really close to their Detroit or Flint. What I would do is visit the websites of Oakland, Macomb, Lapeer counties and visit their tourism sites. That will have some information on the gardens available. The site of your wedding is a very personal place, and you have to make sure that it’s perfect for you.

I would pick the Lewis Landscape Arboretum at MSU, but I’m a bit partial . Seriously, though, we’ve got 13 different gardens available, from water to lily gardens.

Are outdoor pesticides safe for children/pets?

Our pest control service company that sprays our home/yard for bugs claims that all their pesticides are safe for kids/pets. I didn’t have the inside of my house sprayed because it’s not worth the risk with my toddlers home. I also put my pet inside while they were spraying. However, I’m wondering if it’s safe for my pet to be in the yard. If not, how long should I wait before letting her out in the yard again. She is NOT an indoor dog so I can’t just let her stay in the house indefinitely. She will have to go out for "business" anyway, but I’m worried about leaving her outside. I know they sprinkled granules and I’m wondering if it’s something a dog would eat or if it could hurt her if she gets it on her coat. Any help?

You can/should ask the pest control service for the MSDS (material saftey data sheet) for the chemicals they use. The MSDS will list the hazards. Keep in mind that the MSDS is really meant for people who work with these chemicals and the dangers are from repeated exposure.

There is also a "household products database" that might be useful.

Barking during the service, dog going #1 & #2, who is responsable for the dog during the festivities?? So many questions (worries…). If you have experience with this please advise. Thanks!

I wouldn’t do it. The dog, no matter how many times they go potty beforehand, can stop and go potty down the aisle, bark uncontrollably, or anything else. Only seeing eye dogs should be at weddings, as they have been specifically trained to handle large crowds among other things.
