The dog is not aggressive but bites when cornered by strangers. She is worried that if the health department comes a second time the dog will get put to sleep. If that true? Will she get fined?

I think the worst that could happen is the dog can be quarantined for around 10 days and she can get fined. To keep this from happening again I would find a dog trainer and seek their advice. A Professional trainer would be the best bet.

[By the way, It has nothing to do with a dog being a Pit Bull. All dogs can bite or pose a threat. There is no difference between the ability or nature of a dog. It depends on how well the dog is trained and treated.]

Every state is different in regards to the rules for getting your maggage therapy license. You should first contact the State Health Dept to find out the application process and rules. Then, you should look into finding a reputable massage therapy school. Don’t just try to find the school that is the cheapest or that claims to get you certified in a short amount of time. Find a school (and I am sure San Diego has many) that offers brief business classes as well as the classes you need to be a massage therapist. Also, look into insurance for yourself…most employers dont offer it (maybe it is diff in CA). My massage therpaist overworker herself (10-12 sessions a day) and had to have surgery and she didnt have insurance. So, a school that offers classes like that will help you in the long run. Be prepared to pay a few bucks too. Hope this helps…good luck!

Typically, the contact tracing investigators are the "sleuths" for the health department. They interview the person with the sexually transmitted disease (HIV, syphilis, whatever…) to determine their sexual contacts. The investigator then takes what they have been told and goes hunting to find all the contacts.

They do an amazing job. If it was a one night stand and the contact’s name is not known or the address is not known, the investigator can opt to have the infected person ride in their car to point out the contact’s home or hangouts.

So, your sexual contact identified you to the health department. They don’t have to have all the details, just your general whereabouts.

Try Planned Parenthood. It won’t be free but it will be cheaper than going to a doctor. When I got birth control pills from them I filled out an application because they price them according to a sliding scale. They needed to know our household income to see how much we could afford. I imagine it’s the same reason for the Dept of Health but I’m not sure.Maybe they need it for statistics or something
