the limit is 200. can i somehow push it? my weekly pay is approximately 218. my next option is to enroll in the health insurance provided by my college and the state, and it costs 660 quarterly.

Yes, it will. I was only $5 a week above the cutoff, and I was denied. Healthy NY costs more, but is the only other option. The only problem I had with them was that they refused to cover doctor followups that were based on original visits I had with the Family Health Plus.

That’s the question. Let’s assume that you pay for an average employer-co-funded health care plan, and that you are married with two kids and your wife is evil. Is it possible to cut her from the plan but keep yourself and the kids? Evil must be destroyed, no?

Hmm… question is, is it a good idea, even if she IS evil? If you’re in a community property state, you’re going to be responsible for her bills (to at least some degree) until such time as you are legally divorced. As long as you’re legally married, it’s probably going to be better to keep her on your policy to limit your own obligations and liabilities.

After a divorce, you’re not obligated to keep her on your policy; however, she will probalby be entitled to keep it (assuming she pays for her own premiums) under the various COBRA laws – usually for anywhere from 18 months to three years.

The plan went from twenty dollars a week to sixty dollars per week for a family plan. Is this plan still reasonable considering the cost for heatlth care in the U.S?

No. If you are unmarried then only you get health benefits in the service. When you marry your wife and eventually your children will but unless the brothers and sisters are your legal dependents they don’t qualify. Sorry. Good luck to you

Has anyone had any problems using Family Care Health Insurance and has it been used supplement to medicare.

Medicare is for older people. Family care should be for a family.

And also, even for individual health insurance that is offered as part of a company benefit– does the company typically pay for all of the insurance or are you responsible for at least a small part of it?
