Im 14 weeks preggo (YAY ME!) LOL. I was wondering when I would get my ultrasound. I have my 2nd prenatal checkup on Sept 28th and then after that on October 24th or 26th (I’ll be 21 weeks) will I get my gender ultrasound then or what?

Typically, you will only get 2 ultrasounds during a healthy pregnancy. Sometimes you will get one around 14 weeks to date the pregnancy, but some wait until 20 weeks.

You will get an ultrasound at 20 weeks and maybe again around 35 weeks. If you go for one around 20 weeks then you’ll have to ask the tech to tell you the sex, they are checking for a lot more than the gender at this ultrasound so it’s up to you to ask.

Fly into Jacksonville to see the Dawgs-Gators. Southwest flies into JAX. Why do you think they call it the "Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party"? Plus the atmosphere is absolutely electric. I must beg to differ though and tell ya the Gators are gonna do the CHOMP on them. Enjoy no matter what you decide. I have cousins from Columbus, GA and plan to meet them there for the party! My young cousin Remmington was a born Dawg fan and has been planning to attend UGA since she was about 3. Enjoy the game whichever you decide to see. My ugly patio?
I need some ideas. We moved in and there was the concrete pad and some red pavers. We have since tried to spruce things up a bit, but the patio remains a problem. I have considered:

Pouring concrete: $800, plus ripping out old stuff

Putting in deck: $ ???, work, Az is hard on wood I guess.

Laying flagstone: $ ??? but I think it would be at least $1500

Grass would die because of the shade. We are on attempt #3 of grass between patio and planter!

Pea gravel: $150?, easy, but my baby eats it, it isnt so pretty, and it hurts your feet. But, not out of the question.

Any ideas?

how about indoor-outdoor carpeting or artificial grass. It would be good for a baby to play on.
Or turn it into a big sand box to play in.

My husband is applying for the state department and has his oral assessment soon. If he is to get the job, would there be a cost for health care for the family, or would it be like any other job where we would have to pay for everyone but the employee?

America faces a health care crisis. How can Congress or the Senate much care if they have top notch health care coverage and the taxpayers pay for it?

They have a 100 percent covered plan for them and their families for life (assuming they serve at least 6 years), along with an excellent pension plan for life.

They will care about the crisis if it is something the voters want! After all, if they are not acting in the interest of the voters, they will lose their seat and their health care plan.

Unfortunately, there is so much disagreement between the "left" and the "right" that it is difficult for congress to do anything. In addition, many people (even those who truly need health care reforms) vote based on moral values, leaving health care to be ignored.
