Weathered wood art consists of sculptures created from long dead conifer trees roots found on Knights Peak, a 10499-foot high mountain located NINE miles south of Pikes Peak near Colorado springs. These roots, harvested from an elevation of about 10300 feet, are carved to reveal the beauty of the rich resinous interior, mounted on a base of massaranduba (a very dense and durable Brazilian hardwood), and then finished with an oriental tung oil finish.
Each unique piece, fashioned by nature over many years, has a character of its own. They are preserved and presented to you for your enjoyment.
